Roger Freedman graduated from California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. His culinary pursuits led him to Los Angeles where he became Chef de Cuisine at Maple Drive in Beverly Hills.

After working at Maple Drive, Roger moved to Jackson where he became the founding Executive Chef of the Snake River Grill. The restaurant opened in 1993. Roger led the kitchen for seven years. His menu helped establish the Snake River Grill as one of the preeminent restaurants in the Rockies.

In 2001 Roger ventured on to pursue the opening of the Rendezvous Bistro.
